Creating Recurring Tasks

If a task needs doing on a regular basis then you can set Outlook to create a new task to remind you each time it needs doing.  As soon as you have completed the previous occurrence of the task a new task is created.  The task below is a recurring task as you can see from the yellow box at the top of the task window.

Click on the Recurren]--> ce button at the top of the window to set the recurrence, notice that as well as setting the task to be done every week or month you can also select the option to generate a new task a certain period after the last task was completed.  You can use the bottom part of the window to set for how long this task will need to be done.

When you click the OK button you will be returned to the task window.  If you click Save and Close the task will be added to your task list.

Click here to return to the Outlook index.
