Setting up Archiving
As well as setting up a Personal Folders File you can
also use the autoarchive
facility to move items to a special archive folder.
To start the autoarchive process, click on the Tools drop-down
menu, choose Options and then click on the tab marked Other.
Click the Autoarchive button shown below.
You will now be able to set the
number of days between autoarchives and the .pst file where the archived items
will be placed. To create an
archive file, click on the Browse button and a window will appear where
you can create your archive file. Make
sure that your archive file is saved on a network drive if you are using a
networked machine so that it is backed up regularly.
When you have set the archive file,
click OK and you will be returned to the Autoarchive settings window.
If the frequency and file name are set, click OK and your machine
will be set up to autoarchive items.
