Creating Subdatasheets

If you have two tables that are connected by a one-to-many relationship then you can display the table containing the 'many' data as a sub-datasheet of the 'one' table.

To add a subdatasheet, open the table that is on the 'one' side of the relationship and then click on Insert -> Subdatasheet.  A window will appear where you can select the table or query to be inserted as a subdatasheet.  Check that the boxes at the bottom of the window are showing the correct related fields.

When you have selected the table or query and click OK you will see some + signs appear beside the records in your table, if you click one of these + signs you will see the related records expand in the subdatasheet.  You can click the - sign to collapse the subdatasheet afterwards.

If you want to remove a subdatasheet from a table, click on Format -> Subdatasheet -> Remove and the related subdatasheet will be removed from your table.

If you create a table with a subdatasheet and then create an AutoForm from this table the AutoForm will automatically contain a subform of the related data.
